Styling gingham – day to night.

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week I have a fun post on how I like to style the new gingham trend, I recently bought these trousers in Zara (and haven’t taken them off since). Gingham print is literally everywhere at the moment and it’s almost impossible to try to avoid this trend, continue reading if you want to see how I manage to transition them from casual to smart without looking like a picnic basket.

Adding a band tee and this ring detail bag gives a punky edge to the outfit. I’m praying this weather lasts but if it’s still a little chilly to have my arms bare then I like to add this statement sweatshirt from Zara. A backpack and trainers automatically make any outfit more casual.

There’s something about putting on a crisp clean white shirt and some tailored trousers that makes me feel ready for business. You can’t go wrong with monochrome when trying to look smart and it doesn’t have to be boring, I love how this bag imitates the origami style of the shirt and the frills automatically take you out the ‘office’ category.
Throw on some simple heeled sandals and you’re good to go.

Let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed this post, feel free to share any posts or tips you have in styling gingham, I’d love to see. I hope this helped if you weren’t sure how to take on this new trend or simply inspired you and your wardrobe. As always please like/comment/share. (All items shown are linked below)
