Aloha and welcome back to my blog! This week I have a brand new post on some Statement Summer Shoes (say that without spitting). What better way to step into Summer than in a beautiful new pair?

Styling gingham – day to night.

hello

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week I have a fun post on how I like to style the new gingham trend, I recently bought these trousers in Zara (and haven’t taken them off since). Gingham print is literally everywhere at the moment and it’s almost impossible to try to avoid this trend, continue reading if you want to see how I manage to transition them from casual to smart without looking like a picnic basket.

Visual diaries: Fashion // Deconstruction.

blog
If you read my last Visual Diaries post on Minimalistic Interior (or if you haven’t, click here) you’ll know that it’s a new section on my blog that I have decided to try out. While studying Fashion Design at university I tried to live by the quote I once read by Giorgio Armani – “To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail“.

Autumn/Winter Lookbook.

The colder months are upon us! *Read in Jon Snow’s voice* Winter…is…coming.  This season is my favourite in terms of Fashion and styling, I love to layer and play around with different shapes, silhouettes, textures of fabric and the desaturated shades and colours that tend to appear at this time of year. Here are 3 outfits I’m going to be rotating throughout this Autumn/Winter, I hope you get some inspiration!

A Guide to Fashion Week SS 17.

So, Fashion Week is over for another season *sighs with relief* (but also with a little sadness). Fashion week always seems to have the best timing, I can get stuck in a rut with my style and get tired of the same trends, so as soon as Fashion Week arrives it’s always as if a light bulb flickers on above my head. I find myself suddenly on a roll, searching online for new looks and tearing my wardrobe apart. Looking through all the amazing collections (yes, every single show) I decided I wanted to create a diary of images. I sifted through each city, each designer, each collection, each ensemble, backstage too and picked the looks that I loved and was inspired by most. I thought it would be nice to look back at (plus a little more personal than flicking through Vogue) and hopefully for you all to get some inspiration and to implement that (even if it’s a beauty trend) into your Spring/Summer wardrobe.

Best Street Style Looks from Fashion Week S/S 17.

untitled2Fashion week is here again and whilst we’re mid way through Milan and still have Paris to go (saved the best ’til last), I thought I’d gather some street style inspo from London, New York and a few from Milan. Although I love seeing the amazing collections all the designers put together, the part I love most about Fashion Week is the street style that pours in with it as this is where I get most of my fashion inspiration from. Like food, landmarks, music and language, fashion is a way of distinguishing one city from another. Each fashion capital has its own style, New Yorkers are best at incorporating vintage clothing into their wardrobe but keeping their style commercial and wearable while London is definitely more experimental and quirky, Milan always come through with their sleek, smart and polished looks and the Parisians are known for their chic and elegant style.  Continue reading “Best Street Style Looks from Fashion Week S/S 17.”
